SGU:Incursion part2

Good episode, lots of intrigue. Gotta like Rush in this episode when he said that it was best that Kiva shot some unimportant grunt as opposed to Eli, Chloe or Tamara. The writers are really flirting with the audience there. I'd dare them to kill off a main or even a support character. The person they killed off was just a background character, a "red shirt". I guess Franklin kinda... disappeared after using the chair. But the way he left too much room for doubt that he's dead. Franklin might come back... maybe. Tamara is also a likely candidate for what just happened to her by the end of the episode. But as far as I know she's just been wounded.

I think Tamara doesn't like the situation she's in one bit, so she is concentrating on her work as a medical officer. I don't thing she's as noble as she'll heal anybody, but healing people makes her useful, so she'll be alright if she continues to do so. And she does it not out of some moral duty, but to get her mind off of the impending doom surrounding her. In the final scenes of this episode she gets shot in the crossfire, right in the gut. Since she is a main character I'm guessing she's going to live, but the baby inside of her dies.

I also predict that Col. Young not only gets out of his current predicament, but also reverses his situation, where he has a firing squad ready to kill the Lucian Alliance invaders. He does this due to Tamara's injury and the loss of his unborn child. But he is stopped, possibly from Wray from proceeding to kill them.

Chloe is going back to sleeping with Scott. While she says that her friendship with Eli isn't a consolation prize, really she's just gave a dressed up second place medal, but second place is still second place. Sorry Eli. No nookie for you. Though I suppose it would be interesting to see a blossoming love between the two characters. And then, if the writers where mean, they would break them apart somehow.

Oh and another person that might be dead, Telford. But he's not confirmed dead yet. Although they seem to treat him like he's already dead meat. I think it's too obvious that he's going to come out of this alive. The illusion is ridiculous. I know Kiva is the leader, but I don't think Telford should of been treated like some trash. It's leading the audience on a bit too much.

Well this has been a interesting 1st season, I think I'll write about my feelings about the series as a whole later. It has taken me out of my comfort zone that's for sure.

SGU:Incursion part1

So the Lucian Alliance finally managed to get onto Destiny. The Young/Rush/Wray power triangle was barely tolerable, now we throw in Kiva, a total hard ass. I'm sure an arrangement with the Lucian Alliance will eventually be met, especially when the ship is in dire straits.

The incineration of one Lucian grunt was pretty cool. The shields temporarily flickered allowing some stellar radiation to get through, and the poor bastard just melted in a matter of seconds.

Eli seems to be on an adventure, I hope he will find something to help solve this mess. I find it amusing that he tries to act heroic in front of Chloe. Too bad she's just not into him.

General O'Neill was much more dark and is more reflective of the general mood of the show this time. It's very rare to see the SG1 team to bail and allow people to die. And if they do, those pilots would somehow survive.
